Sneak peak at my jewellery box. Since I have a ridiculous amount of jewels, more than would fit in most traditional jewellery boxes, I just use a fishing tackle box. Already equipped with little compartments and  plenty of fold-out space, it is the perfect alternative home for all my stuff.

i received a cool little package last week from the lovely folks at civilized wildlife containing this amazing pyramid amethyst necklace. i love the mystical look of the stone and the silver chain is the perfect long length (you all know im a sucker for long chains). i cant wait to wear it among an overload of mismatched silver necklaces and a stack of chunky stone rings with a long floaty dress and heavy boots, á la abbey lee. get your own plus many more wicked pieces here. thank you again to krysta at civilized wildlife!

SUN. FINALLY. the weekend has been so miserable and rainy and stormy and overall depressing, so i am over the moon (ironic?) to get some rays at last. hopefully this weather will continue until i flee to sydney next week for even better weather and a spot of shopping. i am trying not to be lured by the winter sales - it is so tempting to buy up on winter stuff but totally irrational as summer is on its way. I DO NOT NEED MORE LEATHER. it has become my mantra.

im mad about these jeans from the new one teaspoon collection. they also have a shredded vest and shorts in the same print. so goddamn tempted. they're not really jeans, more really thin cotton pants. whatever they are i am head over heels. skinny, raw and tight - that's how i like them.

my pathetic tan is already starting to fade, although i like to think khaki makes me look darker, even though it probably doesn't. im jealous of all you northern hemispherians. come on summer! you can see some of the amazing jewelry i picked up in cambodia in these shots - ill have to do a post on it all. i came back with enough silver cuffs and rings to last me 10 lifetimes. you can never have too much silver jewelry, right?

so most of my jewelry is either vintage or collected on my travels. i rarely buy any other jewelry (although im drooling over erin wasson x lowluv and have already got a few pieces) and i am almost always drawn to silver jewelry with ethic detailing or a rustic feel. i guess i prefer pieces that remind me of somthing, someone or somewhere.

i really like skull motifs (and not in the lame fluro pink 'im so hardcore' way). i prefer like the more ethnic looking styles, from south america in particular. but i am from australia so i really cant go past a good cow/ram skull.
